Hi,

I play Tropico 6 on Mac. How can I change the language to german? There is no ingame option.

Hi SIlverhawk170485,
please be aware that you cannot change the language, when the game is already installed.
Simply uinstal via the Galaxy launcher and reinstall. At the beginning of the installation you will be asked, which language you want the game to be installed. The rest is selfexplanatory.

Is it only possible in Galaxy? I use the backup installers. How does it work with them? Usually GOG offers in such cases a language-chager.exe, not here, or seperate installers per language.

I'm using Windows, but i guess it's the same way with the Mac Installer.

You can select the language during the install process. Just fire up the installer, click options and you'll see the option "Choose game language". Select your prefered language and install the game again.

For Mac it's different. It's like a zip-file on Windows. You can only unzip the game data to a specific folder. It's not an install programm where you can select the language. So I think you need for each language a seperate "installer" or you can edit some files of the app to switch languages.

Sorry, didn't know that. I'm not familiar with Mac. But I've checked the downloads of the Mac version now and there is a german package for the two DLC only but not the base game. Look at the screenshots. So i think, it's better to contact GOG support about this issue. I guess, they forgot to add the base game installers for the other languages.

Edit: Another thing is the size of the Mac installer. Why is it around 27 GB while the Windows version with all languages included is only around 11 GB?

They added language patches for the Mac version with the update from yesterday.
