Trine fans:

I just noticed that Trine 2 "The Complete Story" is available in the "Humble Bundle 9" pack.
It looks like the Trine 2 windows version is finally available DRM free albeit, in the HB9 deal.

I hope GOG gets it soon! I don't know if the other games are completely DRM free.

I want nothing to do with Steam keys, steam authentications, etc...

I went along and bought it as I I had played Trine here on GOG and absolutely loved it. Played the first few levels so far and it looks wonderful. Gameplay dynamic is also great. Highly recommend the purchase. I hope GOG gets it soon as well.
Just bought HIB9 to get Trine 2. I'm listening to the soundtrack now.

So, just to confirm: Trine 2 in the HIB9 does not require steam client, connection to steam to activate, or entering a steam key? I.e. So from your install/run experience, it truly independent of steam?

I might not wait for GOG if this is the case and instead buy the HIB9 since I've been waiting over a year to play Trine2 DRM free!

UPDATE:

Just picked up the HIB9 bundle as well. I've found no sign of steam dependency in the Trine2 installation/setup !

I'm hoping that Trine 2 without DRM will resurface on GOG (or elsewhere) as I didn't pick it up. I have a copy on, dare I say it, Steam but I'd like to get some more to play coop (on separate computers).

What is the multiplayer like in the DRM-free version of Trine 2?
It's out on GOG now, but it doesn't include the soundtrack. I find that disappointing because I bought it in a humble bundle a while back and that included the soundtrack.
Finally. Oh, what I've been waiting for the second game.

Me and some friends got it on Steam a while back. Multiplayer with the DRM-free version seems to work just fine, I just tried joining a random game.

However trying to play with one of my steam friends we didn't get a connection. It could just be him, but I doubt it. Gonna check with my other friend next time I see him,
