For anyone thinking about purchasing the Trine 1 and Trine 3 soundtrack DLCs, take note that they do not contain any metadata (tags) or cover art. They are completely barebones. Here's a breakdown of the soundtracks included as goodies with the games and the soundtrack DLCs.

TRINE 1 GAME - The soundtrack included as a goodie with the game is MP3 format (224 kbps constant bitrate) and it contains 20 songs. The filenames include the artist, track #, title, and album (except the two bonus tracks, which do not include the album). The tracks contain metadata (track #, title, artist, album, year, genre, comment, album artist, composer, publisher, orig. artist, copyright, and URL) and cover art. The only exceptions are bonus tracks 19 and 20 do not contain the track number or publisher tags. A 1000x1000 pixel JPG image of the cover art is included in the ZIP file.

TRINE 1 SOUNDTRACK DLC - The soundtrack contains MP3 format (average 253 kbps variable bitrate) and FLAC format (2 channels, 16 bits per sample, 44100 Hz sample rate) and it contains the same 20 songs as the goodie soundtrack. The filenames include the artist, track #, title, and album (except the two bonus tracks, which do not include the album). The tracks do NOT contain any metadata OR cover art. Cover art is NOT included in the ZIP files. This is as barebones as it gets.

TRINE 3 GAME - The soundtrack included as a goodie with the game is MP3 format (190 kbps variable bitrate) and it contains 13 tracks. The filenames include the track #, title, artist, and album. The tracks contain metadata (track #, title, artist, album, year, genre, comment, composer, and publisher), but NO cover art. Cover art is NOT included in the ZIP file.

TRINE 3 SOUNDTRACK DLC - The soundtrack contains MP3 format (average 256 kbps variable bitrate) and FLAC format (2 channels, 16 bits per sample, 44100 Hz sample rate) and it contains 15 tracks (the 13 tracks from the goodie soundtrack plus extra tracks "The Lost Mines" and "The Legend of Trine"). The filenames include the track #, title, artist, and album. The tracks do NOT contain any metadata OR cover art. Cover art is NOT included in the ZIP files. This is as barebones as it gets. It should also be noted that the names of two tracks have changed -- track 6 is named "Castle of Astral Academy" in the goodie soundtrack and "The Academy Gatehouse" in the soundtrack DLC, and track 10 is named "Infernal Ghosts of Sarek" in the goodie soundtrack and "The Infernal Minions of Sarek" in the soundtrack DLC (the songs did not change; only their names were changed).

For completeness, here are the details for the Trine 2 and Trine 4 soundtrack DLCs (I have not yet purchased the Trine 4 Melody of Mystery Soundtrack DLC, so I cannot comment on that one).

TRINE 2 SOUNDTRACK DLC - The base soundtrack is MP3 format (average 256 kbps constant bitrate) and it contains 21 tracks. The filenames include the artist, track #, title, and album. The tracks contain metadata (track #, title, artist, album, year, genre, and comment), but NO cover art. Cover art is NOT included in the ZIP file.

TRINE 2 SOUNDTRACK DLC - The Goblin Menace soundtrack is MP3 format (average 256 kbps constant bitrate) and it contains 9 tracks. The filenames include the artist, track #, title, and album. The tracks contain metadata (track #, title, artist, album, year, genre, comment, album artist, and composer), but NO cover art. Cover art is NOT included in the ZIP file.

TRINE 4 SOUNDTRACK DLC - The soundtrack contains MP3 format (average 254 kbps variable bitrate) and FLAC format (2 channels, 16 bits per sample, 48000 Hz sample rate) and it contains 26 tracks. The filenames include the track #, artist, and title. The tracks contain metadata (track #, title, artist, album, year, genre, comment, and composer), but NO cover art. Cover art is NOT included in the ZIP file.
