Trine 2
New supported installer:
gog_trine_2_complete_story_2.0.0.5.sh
For me not working. Game is still asking for ZLIB libraries :

Running Trine Enchanted Edition
./bin/trine1_linux_launcher_32bit: /...GOG Games/Trine Enchanted Edition/lib/libz.so.1: version `ZLIB_1.2.9' not found (required by /usr/lib32/libpng16.so.16)

EDIT: Working fine now. Sorry I was running original installation not the new one.

That’s what I guessed seeing "GOG Games" in the path ;)
So you confim that using the ./play.it script everything works smoothly?
Update

Trine

Add missing dependency on libudev1
Drop dependency on PulseAudio
Fix issue with optional libpng 1.2 inclusion
Hi I am trying to play the game but no luck so far. I am in a 64bit system with lubuntu 18.04.
I installed ibgtk2.0-0:i386 and created the link to the proper libz.so.1 file in lib/
So the game launcher stars but when I press the start button it crashes. I run it from console and I get this warning:
Gtk-WARNING **: 23:40:40.727: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "clearlooks"
multiple times and when I press start:
nohup: redirecting stderr to stdout

Any ideas?

PS The Trine link in the first post does not work anymore.

Did you try installing it with the ./play.it script, or manually?

It’s now fixed, thanks for the report ;)
Hi there,

This might be a beginner's error but here is the thing : I downloaded and installed the ./play-it script for Trine according to instructions and everything seems fine except that I can't find the game or the launcher!

Working on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS.

Any idea? You will find the built below.

P.S. I've been working for hours to unsuccessfully make the game work with original installation before finding this post so it may be that I'm just tired.

From what you posted, it seems everything went as expected. So you should have a "Trine" entry in your applications menu.

If you can not find it, another way to run the game is by running the following command from a terminal:
trine-1
