We have done some final polishing work on Tower of Time and we consider it 'Final Edition' now.

Here is the content of the last patch:

* Fixed few very small bugs -- e.g. effect of the fountains not visible immediately

* Rebalancing of the difficulty -- enemy units, items, skills, battle parameters as number of enemies, spawn frequency, frequency of skills used, etc..

As a result there shouldn’t be any spikes in difficulty levels when moving between Tower levels. Still – when you outgrow current difficulty level (by building a real kick-ass party) – we highly recommend increasing difficulty during the game. You can do it anytime outside combat.

* Visual upgrade of some skills

Last update notes in Galaxy are still 1.4.3. from 21 January 2020, despite Galaxy tells the game is 1.4.5.
Is 1.4.5 this final ed?

Non-Galaxy version is 1.4.4. Why not 1.4.5? I think GOG would be well advised not to treat their non-Galaxy customers worse than their Galaxy users.

1.4.5 was released only one day ago at Galaxy. You must wait between 2 days and 2 months (usually 2 weeks) for a non-Galaxy patch after Galaxy release.
If I'm correct, Galaxy releases are made by devs, immediatly integered in Galaxy, and the non-Galaxy patch are made by GOG once the Galaxy patch was sent by dev. Those non-Galaxy patch need further testing, to verify GOG didn't harm the patch by adapting it to non-Galaxy.

Thanks. I know that GOG doesn't release updates without doing some testing first - and it is something I appreciate, and accept as an explanation for releasing later than Steam.
If you're correct, and Galaxy releases are not subject to this form of quality management, then I accept the delay, too.
On the other hand, GOG sometimes doesn't release new versions, which are available on Steam, for a long period of time (possibly for legal reasons - but this is a guess, as there is no explanation by GOG).

Hi,

version 1.4.5.11880 ia a final Edition ?

Thanks
I answer myself: yes !
I tried to play Tower Of Time on Linux. I had a crash here and there until reacing level 7, but nothing too bad.

With reaching level 7, the game started to crash during almost every battle. It helped (a bit) to reduce the number of characters used in battle and don't move the camera too much, but during the first ballte with the reduced party (where you have to destroy the 3 gates) this "trick" doesn't work anymore as I have to walk though the level.

I tried reducing resolution, details and all other stuff that I found in the settings (also tried the performance vs speed setting), but nothing helped so far.

Updating to the "Final Edition" also didn't help - Is there a way to skip battles so I can at least finish the story line?
