Hi everyone

I downloaded this game yesterday, installed but whenever I start the game my monitor displays input not supported. I'm guessing it can't display the games default resolution for some reason. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the resolution outside of the game like you can do on steam? Also please explain it like your talking to an idiot my understanding of computer lingo is limited. Thanks in advance !

What resolution is your monitor running at by default?

What video card does your computer have?

Struggling a bit on this one. Downloaded it at the weekend, but as you say, can't see a way to change the res before you get into the game. Can't see an obvious .ini either.

It defaults to 800x600; can you reduce your screen resolution before launching the game and see if that works. Or - try compatibility modes.

Tried both neither work :( appreciate the reply though, might have to give up on this one.

I'm running out of ideas.

There is one thing that *might* work - it involves setting the resolution in the registry for Total Overdose. Making modifications to the registry manually is something that you do at your own risk as you can change settings in there that will break Windows.

We are just going to try to change the Total Overdose resolution.

Go to start, then type in Regedit

If the UAC prompt appears, give it permission to make changes.

Navigate on the left pane to

hkey_curent_user --> software --> eidos --> total overdose

You will see in the right pane three items:
- Default
- XRes
- YRes

Double click on XRes and select Base Decimal - then type in your desired X axis resolution.
Do the same for YRes, select Base Decimal and type in your desired screen height.

Exit regedit.

Run total overdose and see if it works.

It's not easy for me to try this as I'm running on a 1280x1024 screen, which works as standard.

No worries.

Have you tried GoG support - they're usually quite good at fixing things (eventually - once they get through their backlog of queries)
