How do you get TAK to play the original intro video and to the exposition?

From what I've heard, you'll have to install the game without the expansion pack, as when Iron Plague is installed it overwrites the original intro and (possibly) ending movie files for some reason.
After you finish the original campaign you can go back and install Iron Plague.
