Hello, I am only moderately computer literate, and decided to try this old game I liked in the past: TA Kingdoms. I got it download and installed but when trying to run, I hit a box telling me to choose a rendering device. it seems to be a "dos" like selection where i can hit Enter to use it, or a double click of the mouse. The box has the label: Choose a rendering device: and the only selection was Software MMX (Full-Screen): Software MMS Rendering

Upon selecting this, the entire loading effort just seems to go away and I'm back to the gog.com launcher.

So, I'm sure I'll need to give you guys all kinds of info about my system, but I'm just not sure exactly what you need. I'd be pretty appreciative of any help that can be provided! :)

Thanks!

For specs, operating system and GPU are a good start.

Just for grins, I'll suggest that you install DirectX 9.0. This is not a downgrade - 9 and 11 live happily together on the same PC, and having 9 will allow quite a number of games to run properly. Try this link to get 9.0c:
