What do you dream of happening to the TA franchise now that Atari is dead?

I hope someone worthy gets a hold of it and gets the guys from GPG to make it. :)
Especially Chris Taylor, the man behind the original.

Let's allow ourselves to dream a little. ;)
Sadly GPG is nearly bankrupt, too. The only hope for the survival of the company is their new Kickstarter project "Wildman". They have fired nearly the whole staff and will only re-recruit it, if the funding for the game is secured. Very sad. :(
I think either Activision-Blizzard or Hasbro call the shots now, assuming they remember Infrogrames\Atari had the TA IP :p

Well, there is "Planetary Annihilation" that was founded via kickstarter.

Indeed. Bear in mind that Chris Taylor isn't working on it (and GPG now belong to Wargaming.net, the guys behind World of Tanks), but PA's director, John Mavor, did work on TA's graphics and was lead engineer for Supreme Commander, so he knows what kind of game he's making.
To be honest, some half-assed new TA wouldn't be any better than Supreme Commander or whatever. I don't think another true Total Annihilation will ever happen.

(PS if anyone wants to play TA feel free to send a PM!)
