I just bought the Torchtlight series/bundle figuring I'd get the second one which I didn't have yet and get a copy of the first on GOG as a part of my migration away from other digital shopping platforms. Imagine my surprise when I realized Torchlight didn't include the Linux version.

I saw others have asked about it and someone threw together a script to run the Windows version in Wine. Is there a story behind why the Linux version of Torchlight isn't on GOG? Is Ryan/Humble not letting Runic post it here? Do I need to email a question to GOG/Runic? I'm a madman, I'll do it.

I bought it 5 minutes ago, downloaded the Linux version and it runs fine.

My browser was first offering me the Windows download as well, but you can switch to Linux on that page and you're good to go. Maybe that helps.

Edit: Ah, so you are specifically asking about Torchlight ONE? I missed that, sorry. Disregard my answer, which was aimed at T2.

The Linux version of the first Torchlight is exclusive to the Humble Store and Ubuntu (yes, it's not even on Steam). Comments from Runic in the past have indicated that they have no desire to bring it outside those two stores, as they weren't responsible for the port in the first place.
