Tired Goren accidentally stripping your items of all enchantments (and adding insult to injury by charging you hard-earned gold for the privilege)? What I've found is either a bug or a feature of the game that can be exploited endlessly to your advantage. I'll warn you, tho', that this has the potential to seriously unbalance the game. What I've discovered (and you probably have, too, by now) is that dungeons (or at least some of them) regenerate: monsters, treasure chests, scroll lecterns, and weapon and armor racks (but not story-specific encounters).

On floor 5 (Tomb of the Awakened) are two item enchantment shrines, and these also regenerate (although I should warn you that the chance of enchantment failure is cummulative, adding 1% to the risk with each enchantment). After you've used them, finish off floor 5, continue on through floor 6 (Lair of the Sisters), and on through floor 7 (Tomb of the Awakened). (NOTE: You'll only have to fight the three sisters the first time through, not on subsequent passes; and for some reason, floor 7 did NOT regenerate on subsequent passes: all of the monsters were still cleared out and any dropped items were still where I left them.)

Once you arrive at floor 8 (Overseer's Chamber), use a Town Portal scroll to return to town, conduct whatever business you need to do, and then head to the south end of town to the Waypoint Portal, which will send you back to the top of the stairs at floor 4 (Dank Chamber). Take the stairs down, and repeat as often as you like. After a while, you'll virtually untouchable by any of the monsters on these levels, and they're little more than obstacles to clear out of your way or resources to be harvested for gold and the occasional magic item they might drop.
