It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

1) The game crashes after the first videos (ie, it doesn't get to the menu screen).

2) Everything greys out after when i run TR1. This is an issue i don't know how to fix without having to restart my PC. What i mean by this is if i load my browser, the colours will be greyed out. On Steam the black is replaced with a light grey.

I have downloaded and installed the patch, i have tried running the game in compatibility mode but nothing seems to happen, i get a gogwrap process but nothing else.

TR2 and 3 run fine without any crashes.

Hi there :D

Have you ran the Graphic mode setup utility for Tomb Raider 1 yet?

To access it, click the Start button, then go to the GOG.com folder, then Tomb Raider 1 + 2 + 3, then you'll see the three Tomb Raider game folders. Click on the Tom Raider 1 folder and you'll see a shortcut titled Graphic mode setup. Run that and see if that helps :D

Hiya, bought me the 1-2-3 pack during this weekends promotion and am having the exact same issue as the OP (exception to issue 2 with the greying out). TR2 and 3 run fine, but 1 will not run past the intro. A snippet of music plays and then windows encounters an error.

Found the graphic mode app, I run it, change resolution, etc, and still encounter the same issue again and again whether D3D or Direct Draw or OpenGL. If I keep original resolution it tries to change the resolution at the menu about 6 times. If I set it to native resolution then it just goes straight to crashing.

A little bit at wits end with this issue, I've never really played the original series so I'd like to start with 1 rather than 2.

(Further research: If I run a vanilla DOSBOX install and run the TOMBno3Dfx.exe then it will run. However, same process with the regular exe yields "Fatal Error Unable to load DLL")

(Further Further research, glide.txt reads as follows: "Configuration file is glide.ini
Video mode set failed: Couldn't load GL function glActiveTexture: Couldn't open \TIMIDITY\timidity.cfg" which makes me think its something sound related?)
