Played Tomb Raider a couple days ago and it was fine - had the ps1 audio with it and its been like that for a while. But when I tried to play it today the game opened DOSBOX with virtual Z and waiting for a command.

I tried mounting to the c to get to TOMBRAID folder from c:\Program files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Tomb Raider 1\TOMB RAID but no matter the variation I did DOSBOX would say it didn't exist.

Verified/repaired the directory it and had the same issue. Uninstalled it and installed it to an entirely new directory on a new drive - D:\GOG Galaxy D\Games D Library\Tomb Raider 1\TOMBRAID.

Thought it would just go straight into the games as usual but instead it did the same thing on a clean install - opens up DOSBOX and waits for me to input commands. Both directory's (C and D) aren't regained either. Any idea what's going on here?

Any help would be appreciated on this as effectively I can't actually play the game now for some reason.

Just installed fresh to check / test using Galaxy.
It appears to be working for me

Location is:
F:\GOGGalaxyGames\Tomb Raider 1
In there the dosboxTR_single.conf looks like this:
[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
# You can put your MOUNT lines here.

mount C ".."
imgmount d "..\game.dat" -t iso -fs iso
c:
cd TOMBRAID
cls
tomb.exe
exit

Is your conf file the same?

Thanks for the response.

Yeah I have the TR_single.conf file and it is exactly how it is mentioned on your reply. I should note (after just remembering) this was after updating galaxy this happened. I'm gonna install it again and see if the problem still persists. Also should note I also put in the mount lines in the autoexec to see if that would help but it didn't.

(On another note, I always recieve the error "essential components are missing." and the update never goes through but launching GOG it says I'm updated and I never have any problems - perhaps something else I should look into)

EDIT AFTER REINSTALL

Ok, now it appears to be working fully. I have no idea what caused it or what solved it. Will check in again though if this issue returns, something tells me this isn't exactly a one off.
