From the YT vid "The project page on Nexus Mods is currently not available due to moderation review. " so I guess that means it'll be back up at some point (or an alternate download place available).

Is it a safe assumption that this mod works with the GOG version?

According to this post on Nexus Mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/tombraidertrilogyremastered/mods/945?tab=posts&comment_id=155718937 , the installer version didn't work for them (Galaxy user too if that makes a difference), but the standalone version did.

There is no such thing as a "Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Gold Edition". It does not exist.
This is a mod, which must be clearly stated in the thread title IMO.
