" Tomb raider 3 failed to initialise. Please run setup"

Don't know what to do, beacause the first Tomb Raider and the second one work perfectly :/

Did you run setup? The program lives under the tools start menu item, under tomb raider 3. If you did, did you get an error with that?
edit: no it works, i ofund the file, but strangly, i have to launch it from the research bar in th windows menu.

Thanks for the help !

I'm getting this same error and i still can't work out how to fix it.
Pretty self explanatory really... Run the set-up its in the GOG folder and Tomb Raider 3 then tools and you should then find Setup choose your settings and Tomb Raider 3 will work..

I have no idea what you're talking about. What tools? What the fuck? I went to my GOG folder, then to Tomb Raider 3, but what do I do from there?
Make sure you're looking at the GOG folder in the Start menu, and not the install folder in Program Files. You won't find a setup file in the Program Files folder.
Oh alright. Thanks!
I clicked on it and it flashed up momentarily and then nothing happened. Any idea how I would fix that?

Try running the file as adminstrator. Instead of left clicking the Setup file, right click and select the "Run as administrator" option from the menu that pops up when you right click that file. I hope that helps.
It still doesn't want to work. This is sort of distressing

Open up the properties menu of that file and tell me what sort of compatibility settings you are using with that file.
I changed the compatibility and now it's working fine. I feel silly for not doing that in the first place. Thanks for the help!

Glad I could help, even if it was somewhat indirectly :D

Enjoy the game!

I have spent the past 4 hours or so trying to figure out how to get TR 3 to run as I kept trying to get it working from the folder AND the desktop shortcut, kept getting an error message and when I saw your post I gave it a try and IT WORKED.

You do not know how grateful I am. Honestly, technical difficulties tear my soul apart and make me want to curl up in a ball and weep but YOU SAVED ME FROM THAT and for that, I am eternally grateful.

Okay I'm done creeping you out now, off I go on my merry way.

Thanks again!

You're welcome. Glad it worked out for you :)
