Hi,

first of all, thanks for the recent updates. (adding several languages, cloud saves)
I prefer the german Lara dub/voice by far. (Marion von Stengel)

But there are several problems with Angel of Darkness. One minor thing is that it's the unpatched German release version. That's not really a problem since you can manually update it to ver.52 and the update file works with the GOG version.

The major issue is that you can't change ingame settings without the game crashing. When I try select the highest graphic/texture setting and apply, the game crashes. Sometimes with an explanation. (something something kernel)
It really doesn't matter what you select, after trying to apply them it just crashes.

I thought it had something to do with the newly added German GOG version, but after installing the English version again it has the same problem like the German unpatched/manually patched version. (crash when trying to apply settings) And the English version is version 52 by default.

What gives?

//will add error message if I can get it to show up again.

Solved the issue. It was caused by the GOG Overlay. Deactivate it in the GOG Settings menu and it should work properly.
Quite a few games cause issues with the overlay. Especially older games so I think the overlay should be off by default. I mean old games are their bread and butter and these games can get really finicky with background apps/overlays.
All kinds of external/internal software or/and hardware influences really.

Hi LyR,

Thanks for the heads up :) We've turned off the overlay for Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness.

In the future, could I ask you to send this kind of feedback to our Support department so it's all centralized and collected in one place? :)
