While testing TR 2 and 3 I noticed both display a strange glitch with this (varying) black band appearing every now and again, depending on where you are and what direction you're looking. No matter how much I changed the settings it'll always appear when the game is set up in 'hardware' mode. Is there any way to fix that? Running the game on Win 7 64-bit with Intel HD 3000.

Here's an example.

Have you tried using the Universal update? It's a seperate download in your account.

I have the same problem. Also HD 3000 graphics. I updated the game.

Yes, I just have. Played around with various settings. Same deal. That update doesn't seem to have done anything for me. Also, the videos still aren't working properly.

I do wonder whether it's yet another issue with integrated chips, seeing how it has fixed the games for most other people here. *le sigh*

Sidenote: I don't get those black bands in software mode, so it probably is a chip/driver issue.

I have a similar problem with my CDs. Was contemplating buying GOG version just to get the FMVs working and get rid of this glitch since I have exhausted all other avenues of recourse; however, sounds like they are incorporating the multipatch. Problem is that when I have used the multipatch, it makes it so that the game never runs. The computer just sits there while Tomb.exe *32 starts hogging processor power. Does anyone else have this problem?

It sounds like you are running Win95 version of Tomb Raider 1. Our version is under DOSBox, so it could run better. If you want to test DOSBox, try our version of Teenagent - it's free.
I was referring to Tomb Raider 2, sorry if I was unclear on that point
*bump* is this still happening with the GOG patch?
