The only buttons i can use are the directional controls. Nothing else works. I installed Xpadder but it states it's not set up for my windows 7.

Any advice?

I just saw your post in another TR thread. This is my fave series by far and it sounds like you might be a junkie too. Welcome! Anyway I can't stand using a gamepad for these games but if you have played a lot with one and with success keep with it but I assure you a keyboard is SO much more precise especially with the occasional seemingly impossible jump. As far as pad mapping obviously I can't help. I have a logitech but I only use it for scrollers.
Junkie, yes. I started out when it hit the PS1, and it's really all I like to play, even after all these years.

I hope someone can figure this problem out for me. I'm not the greatest keyboardist. :)
I had the same problem with my Rumblepad 2. What about Logitech's own Profiling software? I haven't bothered to update mine past 5.10, but I made a profile for Tomb Raider---I didn't change any controller settings in game, just used the profiling software to program each button on the pad to emulate one of the keyboard controls. Worked like a charm for me.

I tried the profiler software but it didn't recognize my Logitech G-series. It seems that's beneath it. It wants letters past G.
Sorry for bumping this! But i have the exact same problem, the only game that fully recognizes my Rumblepad 2 controlles is Chronicles which is well and good, but it would be good if the others would recognize it properly too!
Here's a guide on how to get all the commands of TR1(via DOSBOX) mapped to gamepads without having to include another app or downloading anything. Hope it works out for you.
