bought the Original Trilogy on Sale, and want to use my Ps4 Controller. I has DS4 Windows but for whatever reason my PC won't run the program anymore.

Does this mean I have to use Xpadder? I fidn it odd a game orignally made for consoles doesn't feature native controller support, it picks up input formt he left joystick but thats about it.

do the Steam versions support controller?
I can try to modify my Tomb Raider Mouse Helper to support gamepads. I don't have one, though, so I would need help. If you'd like to try, here's a test script that will tell you which buttons are which on your gamepad.

Decide which buttons you want to do what and give me a list. For example, give me something like:

Joy1: Forward
Joy2: Backward
Joy3: Turn left
Joy4: Turn right
Joy5: Sidestep left
Joy6: Sidestep right
Joy7: Fire
Joy8: Draw Weapons
Joy9: Look around
Joy10: Menu

In fact, I think that those 10 actions are just about all that the game uses, so, if you give buttons for all 10, it would just about cover everything. If you do that, I'll modify my utility with those mappings and upload it for you to test.

I have the same problem with my msi xbox controller and a simple corded logitech gamepad that is play station style. the logitec pad kinda works with some of the buttons if its set up from scratch I'll put it this way the action button was the left shoulder button.

I remember using controllers with these old tomb raider games on my pc so it must be something about windows 10. The msi controller has like 4 different modes aka 4 different controllers in 1 for compatability. You do have to switch to a new mode and then run through the initial set up every time to get it to work and in all four cases only left stick is supported. The standard xbox mode makes some of the buttons show up as keyboard buttons that are already in use by default. Yes the default buttons all stay the game doesnt switch to user defined like it should when you go set up a config. You get user buttons and default buttons at the same time.

oh sidestep in tomb raider works with one of the buttons being used as a modifier there is no sidestep left and right

Use a keymapper like xpadder, antimicro...is the best way to play Tomb Raider I to VI with a gamepad.

I try to run these games on Windows 10, use DS4 Windows and the gamepad (read as an X360 controller) isn't seen by the game. Then I map the game's "user controls" to a set of keys, on DS4 map the various controller buttons to those keys, and it doesn't work. Mapping to the game's default controls doesn't work either. Nothing works.
You could doubt it's the DS4 software... but it works without a flaw with all other games, directly or after mapping nothing changes.

Sorry I can not help you, I use a x360 and Steam controller on Linux with keymapper like antimicro or sc-controller.
