TR2, 3, 4, and 5 can all be easily patched and tweaked to get this to work, but since the GoG version of TR1 uses dosbox, I can't seem to figure out how to get the game running this way, and the patch I used for TR2 and the rest doesn't seem to work with TR1.

Here's what I'd like to be able to do:

1) Play the game full screen at my monitor's full resolution (1366x768), with no stretching or letter-boxing.

2) Turn off the blurry terrible-looking bilinear filtering and play it in all of its blocky, sharp pixel-textured glory.

3) Have the original Playstation in-game musical cues working properly.

Is this possible? Any tips or instructions for getting the game playable in this way would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! :)

After doing a little more research and fiddling, it does seem that Glidos is giving me the best results, with two out of the three things on my wish list taken care of. Glidos allows me to run it in high resolution and proper widescreen with no stretching or letterboxing. And, Glidos seems to restore the original PS1 musical cues for you, as long as you have the proper files in the right directories. The FMV movie improvements are a nice bonus as well.

I still can't, for the life of me, figure out how to turn off bilinear filtering so get the sharp-pixeled textures back, so any tips on that would be appreciated! In the mean time, I'll keep exploring these settings.
Actually, I take it back. It seems all Glidos does to do "widescreen" is crop the 4:3 game screen, cutting off all info (like the health bars) at the top and bottom of the screen. Back to square one. Ugh.

If you still need help with this four years later, the first two issues can be fixed with the Automated Fix , which has a bunch of fixes, and lets you play it directly in Windows. It has a proper Horiz+ widescreen option, and lets you use nearest-neighbor filtering (no mipmapping, unfortunately).

I don't think anyone has figured out how to get the the PS1 soundtrack working on PC.
