I bought this some time ago and I figured it was time to at last give it a go and when I got to the main menu the first thing I did was increase the resolution, then I clicked on 'Play Titan Quest' and went to the character creator. Once there I entered my character's name and tunic colour, yet he didn't appear in the character list and it wasn't letting me progress in to the game itself.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times now and this issue keeps persisting, even the resolution and graphical settings reset after quitting. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Works fine here--like to help but never had the problem... Try creating your character *then* (If your character is already created you only have to click the arrow icons to cycle through the characters you have made) hit the "Start" arrow on the bottom right of the screen...to start the game...Good Luck..!

Got it working. Turned out my anti virus software didn't trust the executable so I had to white list it. Same thing happened with Stellaris

Good deal...;) One of the things that irritates me mightily is that AV-program reviews never talk about (much less furnish numbers) on how many false positives that a particular AV program will likely generate. False positives can be very aggravating, annoying, and time consuming. All I can say is that running Win10x64 version 1803, build 17677, Microsoft's Defender does not generate a false positive on this game--indeed, I use only Defender precisely because it is so good about not generating false positives. Glad you got it sorted!
