I'm not a massive online player with unbreakable will to put everything into my net-fame. However I like when games features online multiplayer because then I have the option to chose how I play. Now the game is on discount and the price is extremely cheap for the quality of the game (I guess it is at least as good as the original Titan Quest).

My question is that: Does the anniversary edition features connection through IP address? A kind of simple LAN or private network server-client multiplayer. One host a server while others connecting it with the host's IP.

Would be awesome if the game has this feature. :)

No meddling around with IPs necessary. There's an ingame server browser where you can create or join games (friends only or open for all)

I doesn't like the central server hosting, especially not when it requires registration to do so. IP is the simplest way for us to play with each other privately.

Then you can play via LAN and services/programs like GameRanger, Tunngle, Hamachi, etc.

I see. As much as we play multiplayer those VPN programs aren't worth to install, but there is a lot of "we should try" games already on the list that would require VPN. I guess installing one of the mentioned programs isn't that big deal after all.

Anyway I marked your post as answer since it clearily states the game's connecting method. :)

Our multiplayer group of 4 people had some success with GameRanger back before the AE was out and that was the only way to play TQ online. I can't speak about the other two programs, but good luck and have fun :)

Thanks. :)

Hamachi worked fine 10 years ago, I doesn't know if they changed anything critical since that.
