I have noticed the grappling hook doesn't always recover from the lowest point, I'm not sure if the jumping button should be used in case you want to jump upwards instead of just hanging.

Many times I want to jump upwards but the grappling hook won't allow me, it will just leave you hanging. This is specially noticeable in the ending chase, where you need to do precisely this (jumping upwards with the grappling hook).

Is there a particular button or key combination for this? Or is it an unintended bug?

I haven't tried a game controller, so I only know the keyboard + mouse behaviour.
