I'm curious as to what kind of gameplay this game has. What are some comparable RPGS, interface and engine wise?
Combat is 100% turn-based, movement is free-roaming in full 3D (no grid). There are no random encounters. All monsters appear in the game world and attack when you get too close, although you can shoot them with ranged weapons without engaging. Some monster groups respawn, but most don't.

The graphics engine about on par with Might and Magic 6, but the interface is a bit more complex and menu-driven (no "hammer A to attack").

Gameplay is very different from most of the Might and Magics. It is somewhat like Wizardry 6, in that it's a massive dungeon crawl with a heavy focus on combat, puzzles and secrets. The game is divided up into levels which are large and more or less open to explore however you see fit, but the progression from one level to the next is linear for the most part. You can go back to earlier levels, but it's not an "open" game world like Might and Magic. You're expected to thoroughly explore the maps to find treasure, keys, switches and so on.
