loved this game, wanted to try it on the new hardware, won't launch. exception error. tried compat, turning virus scanner off, and running as admin, and rebooting. nothing worked. very sad. if someone figures it out, please post here. so sick and tired of games I can't play anymore, even these single player ones are slowly fading away. :(


edit: after a week I found out the problem. it was citrix. who would have guessed that? anyway the windows store version of citrix works fine and fixes problem.

Not familiar with Citrix, and not sure how it would have anything to do with this game.
You said it's new hardware, perhaps Citrix installs some redistributables or other prereqs that are also used by Through The Woods.
