Reading posts on the Steam forum about this game, the consensus seems to be that the AI is very good.

Well I played dozens of games (first two in the first row of the "Challenge" variety) until almost 1 am this morning and I only managed to win once.
I hope that means the AI is really good, otherwise that would mean I am really bad. I have no experience with digital boardgames, so I can't really tell which one it is (yet).
