Here is a list of unique weapons and armor that do not appear as fixed drops (i.e. Buaku's Blade, Koga Shuriken), their basic stats, and enemies I've obtained them from. Due to random enemy mob generation, it is unlikely that all can be obtained in a single playthrogh, though all of the strongest weapons and both maximum body armor pieces can be gotten easily with the save/reload trick.

For armor I've listed stats that always appear, though additional bonuses may also be present. I have not listed the bonuses for weapons, though there will typically be one property that will always appear; the Assassin's blade will always do poison damage, the Imperial harpoon will always have a charisma bonus.

There are several tiers of difficulty and power for enemies encountered in the wild, which I will refer to as low, mid and high. Low tier are encountred in the first explorable area. Mid level roam the second and third. High level enemies will be found in the final wilderness, but more specifically the mountain, the mountain caves, and Meifumado fortress.

I've been playing ToD for years and I've been looking for more combos than just the one listed in the Prima Strategy Guide (1 combo for each element, plus the Kappa Combo) plus the Buddha armor combo.

Recently I found an Wayback snapshot of a fan page that shows there might have been several other combos, but the icons are all deprecated and thus I can't tell what they might have been.

It gives 8 combos, #'s 1-4 for weapons and #'s 5-8 for armor. The combos are:

#1 (Fire) +1 level to all Fire spells. This is Coral, Kappa Blood, Yama-Inu Blood, and is in the Prima guide.

#2 (Water) +1 level to all Water spells. This is Pearl, Kappa Claw, and Oni Fang, and is in the Prima guide.

#3 (Earth) This one has some great bonuses: +20 weapon damage, 1-10 of all elemental damages, and +1-3 poison damage. It has four pieces, that total 8 slots. I am at a loss for what this might be.

#4 (Fire) This one also has some great bonuses: +50 weapon damage, 10% freeze chance, and 10-20 of all elemental damages. It also has four pieces, that total 7 slots. One of the items is a Hairpin I know, but I don't know the others. I imagine one is the Magma Sphere, which will make it impossible to get in a solo game.

#5 (Lightning) +1 level to all Lightning Spells. This is Cho-gokin Ore, Tengu Feathers, and Spider Witch Cobwebs, and is in the Prima guide.

#6 (Earth) This one has some excellent bonuses: AC +25, Durability +25, and +50% to all resistances. It has four pieces and totals 14 slots.

#7 (Lightning) This one also has good bonuses: AC +35, Durability +15, and +50 health points. It has four parts and totals 9 slots

#8 (Water) This is the so-called "Buddha Combo": +50 Ki, Ki Leech of 20%, and +90 to all resistances. It has four parts, the four 'Buddha parts' from the evil wizard at the front of each Daimyo's castle. It takes 4 slots total.

There is another combo, the 'Kappa Combo' listed in the Prima Guide. It's a Water combo and gives +25% knockback chance and +25% freeze chance. It consists of Kappa Blood, Kappa Claw, and Elder Kappa Shell which doesn't seem to make any sense as Kappa Shell is armor-only and Kappa Claw is weapon-only.
