As someone who suffers with repetitive strain injury in both hands, my biggest annoyance with Throne of Darkness (and other RPGs) is having to repeatedly mash LMB to keep attacking enemies. It makes playing these games physically painful.

Fortunately I've discovered a workaround!

https://sourceforge.net/projects/orphamielautoclicker/

Start the tool, set the options, then start the game. I did some experimenting and found 10 milliseconds is a good interval to use. I bound the hotkey to Z as that key does nothing in-game, so it doesn't conflict with anything.

Just move your cursor over an enemy and tap Z to start attacking, then press Z to stop when he's dead or you need to do something else.

It takes a little bit of getting used to but now I can't play without it. I wish I had this tool when I first beat the game 15+ years ago.

Hope this helps :)
Have you tried holding the button instead? works for me, click to change target then hold it for attacking

Sorry for my late reply.

I tried your method and it doesn't always work for me. Sometimes my character(s) attack once, sometimes they repeat-attack as intended. It's not consistent, so I'll just stick with my auto-clicker method - it works for me and hasn't failed so far.

I appreciate your suggestion though. If it works for you and others, then I'm happy for you.

Holding LMB has always worked perfectly for me, even now when I run the game through dxwnd.

Huh, I guess it's just me then. Maybe I need a new mouse? lol

Glad the game works for you.
