- If you are lost in the dungeon, try to draw a map. It's not that big. The location is displayed in the upper left (e.g. A1 or F6). Simply draw a 6x6 grind and mark where you find what and where walls are (arrows not available on the compass)
- Talk to everyone, you can save before dialogue choices. Do so. Try each choice and see what happens, pick the one you like most
- If you get stuck, you probably can talk to someone about your problem (Discuss people) you haven't thought of
- Translation is at the beginning utter gibberish, you'll get used to it and it even develops its own charm
- You need to buy protection from the guard to enter the dungeon. When you reached level 2 you can buy the cheapest protection, go to the fountain, drink and explore from there. If you mine at night, leave the dungeons before passing out and you can still do something in the castle (by returning from the city). If you need to meet someone there it is possible to enter the dungeon with the cheapest amulet, go directly to the fountain and drink, talk to the person (you can walk back from level 2) and do some mining before passing out

So, some update:
-When you meet the nun, you can still collect the holy papers. Just click on the star button that is otherwise used for switching between location or person selection
-Don't get confused by location/person selection. In the tower room it's always back to the fireplace room as default, where at the fireplace it's always talk to people as default. I always fall for this and move back to the fireplace trying to speak to Violet

Now severe spoiler:
-When you get the task to deliver a pendant to the husband and you meet the woman because he's missing, the best way is: announce to go return to the quest giver (don't accept her request), then next agree to her proposal. Go meet the loan shark, get Fedor out. You can either ask for a favor (go see the girl) or release him immediately, in both cases you'll meet the girl the next time you use the pendant. Have pity with her (don't threaten) and you can see her again. I don't know what this is good for though, it seems just to pass time.
