I would like to know if we will be able to purchase the new This War of Mine DLC where the funds go to the War Child Charity? I know new patches take a few days but what about DLC?

I suspect a problem preventing them from selling it here is the whole 'choose how much you want to donate' thing. Either they'd need to retool the buying interface for a single entry to allow people to choose how much they want to pay, or they would have the have several different listings for the same thing at different prices.

Several different listings sounds like the easiest option as long as they make it clear to people that its for charity it should make sense. I just hope they bring out the option to buy the DLC as I don't want to regret getting this on GOG and not steam.

I emailed the devs if it was going to become available for gog users and got this response:

"Hey,

Unfortunately not. It's been done only for charity via Steam and it would be quite complicated to make it stand-alone and DRM-free.

However, huge (and free) expansion is in the works, and should hit GOG sometime in a few weeks.

Thanks for finding that information, it would of been nice if someone from GOG replied to this post... As its for charity how stupid is that you would think that more money for charity would be better. Ah well I'm too old to be surprised by this level of stupidity any more and just hope that some people donate to WarChild from extra DLC through GOG...

This DLC is no longer limited time offer, so maybe if enough people show their interest in this DLC developers would give it a second though?
