I had Pavle infiltrate a warehouse with a knife to ghost some bandits. He shanked the first one from the comfort of a hiding spot, which resulted in people hearing the commotion. Naturally, I tried to have him hide back in the hiding spot in order to wait for backup to turn their backs, facilitating a quick backstab or two. When I clicked on the hiding spot icon, however, Pavle flat out refused to move, and kept doing so for the several seconds needed for him to get spotted and killed. Bugs like this make the combat unplayable, especially considering how one is unable to simply reload in the even that one rears its head in a way that results in a survivor death. Is there any fix for this bug, and if not, is there a way I can back up my save file? I don't like the idea of cheating, but if the game is going to glitch out in a way that results in the already deadly life or death combat getting weighted far more towards random permadeath, then I have no qualms about doing so.

i have read that if you fast quit the game before it has time to record the event you can reload and restart that same day. i dont remember the keystrokes for fast quit, something like alt-f4 something. you can look it up. i myself tried it but either i wasnt fast enough or it doesnt work. you could do a test game and give it try before starting a real game

I have had your problem In some places and not in others. the fact is that the games registration of movement isn't perfect. if your too close to the hiding spot (ie. right on top of it) you may need to move just slightly over then click on the hiding place. you can see many people doing this on youtube (speed runs) although if you are quick killing the people in the where house as you see them

1, at the entrance, when he comes back around
2, on the upper level, run to the hiding place well he is in the room on the left of the screen
3, in the storage area, waiting after he goes out side

one at a time and are indeed quick killing. (not all characters quick kill and those that do may do it in one scenario and not another as I have found I think it's to alter your decisions and make you feel a loss) then spreading them out at those points you should be able to do this no problem. although I have found you may or may need to take the 3rd guy on another night this is also seen on youtube.

more than likely you are running and you need to sneak when all three are alive (one alerts the other) only that split second to get the second guys attention and to get to the hiding spot in the where house should you run or you will alert all of them prematurely. You may also want to try a shovel, axe, or crowbar I have had the knife not work a time or two when I was at the military base on soldiers (don't know why). look at a couple speed runs for your location it will show you your problem and how to correct it .

p.s. the (quick kill all) method is the cheating method. your suppose to be struggling.
