Hi all!
I'm Jenn, one of the coders on Thimbleweed Park and also currently in charge of our customer support.

Some of the team will try and check these forums regularly. In particular, we'll check this "official" thread for serious bug or support issues.

That said, we might miss things on the forums, since it's hard to see all the information and follow threads. If you have something specific and need some help, reach out to us at support@thimbleweedpark.com

We'll try and get back to you as soon as possible (although we do need to sleep sometimes) and help you out.

Hey Jenn!

Glad that you are here -as well-. Do you know when GOG will release the patch for the bug related to the cheese on the fridge when using Ransome?

Thanks!
Fixed! I found the update through GOG Galaxy.
Hi all! I'm Khatie, the Community Manager for Thimbleweed Park.

We've just released a new build that fixes a few small issues - the build notes can be found here:

gog.com/forum/thimbleweed_park/build_notes_for_1307858

Thanks!
Please add some options in Prefs.json to turn off certain effects on lower spec machines, like you can do with Binding of Isaac (bloom, pixelation etc)

EDIT: lower spec as DirectX 9.0c, Shader 2.0

Hi Jenn,

I would like to make one really urgent suggestion - the German version of the verbs. I do not know what possessed dear Boris to come up with his new suggestions but they quite simply are horrid. Why re-invent the wheel. He would have been much better advised to stick with the solutions he had come up with Monkey Island and Fate of Atlantis. By the way, people over here in Germany have also since made according comments...

That is why I would like to suggest the following changes to the German version of the verbs:

Open - Öffne
Close - Schließe
Give - Gib

Pick up - Nimm
Look at - Schau
Talk to - Rede

Push - Drücke
Pull - Ziehe
Use - Benutze

Feel free to vett my suggestions with Boris and I hope that particularly 'Benutze' (Use) is compatible with both modes of the user interface of Thimbleweed Park as it is fairly long.

Alright, all of this does not affect me personally, because I play Thimbleweed Park in the original English, which happens to be my second native tongue. Other people, however, do not or cannot. That is why I am making my most humble of suggestions :-).

Cheers
Patrick
Hi, it seems like I can't install the game: I keep getting "Installation failed: configuration error" with the most recent build (1.0.862).
I am installing the game with Galaxy 1.1.30 on Windows 10 Creator.
Hello, I downloaded the game again (for the patch), restarted my computer, and now have discovered that I can't access the options menu anymore to save my game. I'm not super savvy at these types of technical issues, so maybe I'm doing something wrong? It used to be 'O' for the options menu, right? Doesn't work for me anymore. Bummer - I'll just have to sit tight until someone can give me a hand. Thanks in advance! (Very entertaining game, btw.)

It was changed to Ctrl-O. ;)

Ctrl-O or by mouse from the upper right menu. They changed it from just "O" to Ctrl-O, so "O" can be reconfigured for other actions.
On popular demand, they also added F5 for this, just like in the good old SCUMM games.
Even after the patch/update/redownload, having an issue on startup, of a big white box (window) with black border, that eventually turns to black with the selection crosshair, then the main menu appears.. Games playable.. but wonder what im not seeing... Anyone else with a similar issue? Windows 10 Anniv with Nvidia 960M on an I7 laptop...
I can see the white box when launching the game too. It is very short for me, ie. less then a second, thus I didn't gave it much thought.
Hi,

I am really bad at technology - being born in the 80's - and I simply cannot figure out how to patch my game, which is the 1296,849 build. I don't know how to re-download the game or use GOG Galaxy. I bought the game here on GOG, also.

Can somebody tell me, step-by-step, how to update/patch my game? All over-technical language will be lost on me. I've read the other questions and responses on the forum, but I still can't figure this out. Please help!

How did you download it in the first place?

The easiest method to download games from GOG and keeping them up to date for the non tech-savy is GOG Galaxy.
1. You download Galaxy here
2. Install Galaxy anywhere after downloading it and start it from the desktop shortcut or the start menu.
3. Log in to galaxy with your GOG credentials. (Galaxy should prompt for login, if not, it should be in the Menu Dropdown you get when clicking on the logo in the upper left)
4. Select Library from the top bar (next to store)
5. Select the game you want to install (or update in your case)
6. Select the blue "install" button on the game's page.
7. [optional] Select a language (if available) or an install path (you can leave the default, it's just fine)
8. Make sure that Disable Auto-updating is not checked
9. Select Continue und wait for the game to be installed.
10. All games installed this way will automatically update.
