I'm gearing up for my first playthrough of this game and I'm wondering which gfx pack to pick - the choices are EP2, NecroAge and HDMod 1.2. I've looked over some youtube videos and they all seem rather dark - original in comparison feels much easier to navigate because of increased brightness.

I've had a similar issue with other older games I've modded in the past - while the new graphics looked super nice the reduced visibility actively got in the way of the gameplay, and I'd really like to avoid that.

With that in mind, which graphics overhaul would be right for me, if any?

I think you've already got the answer on steam, but anyway - my personal recommendation at this point would be NecroAge.

brightness can be tweaked, I wouldn't worry about that.

I did indeed (was that you who answered? :) ). I normally don't spam questions in multiple places at once but I was afraid that the forums would have very low activity since it's a very old game. Glad I was wrong!
