Hi everybody!
I've been playing to the GOG version of Thief Gold with the last TFix 1.13 patch and I must say it works perfectly! :)

However when I started the last level (Into the Maw Of Chaos) I experienced some unfortunate bug: the game started to crash without any reason (see the pic bellow - it's in French but you surely know that kind of Windows' error).
I encounter this error randomly after crossing Fire Elementals.

I searched about this bug on Internet but the only topic I could found about a similar problem was apparently solved thanks to the... DDfix! Which I am obviously already using...

I really wonder what's happening on this last level... I'm totally clueless on this one. I hope someone has a solution because it's very frustrating not being able to finish one of the greatest game I've ever played!

Have a nice sunday!

Here are my spec:
Windows XP SP3
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E5700 @ 3.00GHz
ATI Radeaon HD 4800 Series

Does your version of TFix include the unofficial 1.19 update released a few months back? If not I'd try again with that.
Could you perhaps post the "Thief.log" from the Thief Gold directory? That could perhaps give some useful information.

According to the "TFix_readme", it's the NewDark (patch 1.19). Is it the update you are talking about?

there should be a crash.dmp file (in your Thief folder) as well, post that too.

olantwin: Does your version of TFix include the unofficial 1.19 update released a few months back? If not I'd try again with that.
Could you perhaps post the "" from the Thief Gold directory? That could perhaps give some useful information.

Yeah, that's the update. So that is in order. Perhaps you could have a look at http://www.ttlg.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=81 . They are a very strong Thief community and probably the best place to troubleshoot Thief Gold and 2.
at this point, the crash dump world be the most helpful thing.

Sorry for answering late, I'm busy during the week.

It is actually the file from the Thief folder however for an unknown reason I can not open it on the computer (to be exact, the Debugging Tools for Windows won't start) where Thief is installed. I opened it and copy/past the result from another computer but I but those kind of file can't be open that way, am I right?
don't bother with it, just post the entire file (you will probably have to upload it to a site like mediafire and post the link, I think GOG only allows images to be attached to posts). the file is small so it shouldn't be a problem.

No problem! I'll do that on saturday. I only have my MacBook on the road during the week and the file is on my desktop Windows computer back home ;)
great, will wait for the file.
