Does this still have the annoying handyman bug where they all crowed a around a ride and just run around in circles?

Heya,

I can''t confirm having encountered this bug, but I presume you did not lay out a path for them (fixed route).

Because if they "free roam" they usually go to similar places.

Be sure to set a path/pattern where they work a fixed area.
Well yes, actually I can confirm that those Handymen tend to focus on patrolling to the Top-Right corners commonly. In fact, it appears to be the same on not just the PC port but also for the SNES and Mega Drive versions. As I've played Theme Park for a long time, I'm put off by those glitches as well on some of the awkward gameplay.

And I'm disappointed that no one had or have made an unofficial patch to resolve those glitches. Also the SNES version had the guards and criminals removed as guards are too expensive and those criminals in that bike are very uncommon to occur.

So I don't know if someone is trying to make a DOS-compatible patch for Theme-Park or had given up making a patch. But it would be nice for GOG to create one and maybe allow DOSBox to use xBRZ or any upscaling effects to reduce the eye-straining. Yes I know you can play Theme Park in VGA mode but would look better in upscaled 1280x960 mode.

Hey there,

I did not have this bug happen to me yet, but a lot others :D

Anyway I do always put my handyman on fixed routes and try to keep them as simple as possible.

Totally agree, it is a shame the game never received a patch. Not even back in 1994 when the game was released and the bugs were a constant problem.

Other games around that time (even from EA/Bullfrog) received patches/fixes.

If somebody in the future might take a heart to it and reverse get the source code and can or GOG could do it. There is tons of stuff that needs fixing in the game. :C
