OBSOLETE - DOESNT WORK - GOT TO DOWNLOAD FULL INSTALLER INSTEAD OF PATCH

Hello everyone,

I would like to know why getting an update for the Witcher3 GOTY DVD-version requires an 38GB download and try to create a manual patch.

obsolete part of question:
[s]Could someone verify their up to date files of Witcher 3 GOG/v1.31(A) against mine? I have provided the hashes of my unpatched installation (v.1.30 GOTY) under the link below. If you dont know how to do so, just follow the steps below. I'll assume the game to be under C:\games. Just replace by your actual path. Thank's a lot in advance! Knowing the files that differ between version 1.30 and 1.31 GOTY could help in creating a manual patch for those wo dont want to download 38 GB for a small patch!
Please replace "https_" by "https:" in the two URLs below.

1) If Witcher3 directory is in "C:\games\YOUR WITCHER3 FOLDER", then open terminal and goto "C:\games":
cd "C:\games"

2) download "Witcher3GOTY_1.30_md5deep_lr.txt" from
https_//drive.google.com/open?id=0B3JEQJQdmJZ9NE9hUFNzLThCMzA
save it in C:\games

3) get md5deep, if you dont already have it.
Try https_//sourceforge.net/projects/md5deep/files/latest/download, copy md5deep.exe from the zip file to C:\games.
I used cygwin version.

4a) For magnetical harddisk: on the open terminal in folder C:\games, type the following (depending on harddisk and cpu, this might run for up to 10 minutes or so):
md5deep.exe -j1 -lrx Witcher3GOTY_1.30_md5deep_lr.txt "YOUR WITCHER3 FOLDER" > MyHashes.txt

4b) If you have Witcher3 on SSD, use the following command instead (just removing the switch "-j1" for doing the computations in parallel)
md5deep.exe -lrx Witcher3GOTY_1.30_md5deep_lr.txt "YOUR WITCHER3 FOLDER" > MyHashes.txt

5) Make your newly created file "C:\games\MyHashes.txt" public to me in some way. Even the number of lines in that file is interesting to me. Have a look inside to see what it contains. In case your Witcher3-Folder contains savegames or other user-related stuff, some of the filenames may contain your user or playername. Be carefull if you don't want to reveal them. You could just delete these lines, as they cannot be part of a fresh Witcher3_v1.31 installation.[/s]

Witcher 3 GOTY is already patched with the latest patch.
Just uninstall the game & download the GOTY installer via GoG downloader.
There aren't any new patches for Witcher 3.

I could be missing something, but I don't have to download more than 30GB of updates.

Buy the GOTY version, don't use GoG galaxy, download the game via GOG Downloader, if you haven't bought the original. (Original buyers get the GOTY for free)

Uninstall the game. Delete the 1.30 version. Get the newer version

Because they don't release patches (except hot fixes) any longer, they update the installers. There is no patch for 1.30 to 1.31.
Thanks@gogwitcher300 for the hint to use GOG Downloader (Galaxy was throwing a "server error") to get the installer
and thanks@Hickory for the info that they do not release patches anymore.

What still makes no sense to me is the fact that one can "verify" the game installation. What's going to happen if I modify a single file worth 1 MB of disk space? Is GOG Galaxy downloading 38GB yet again, just to fix the one single file? These tasks are done by checking the hash sums of the files and getting only those with mismatching hashes.
That's why I'm curious about the hashes of an up-to-date installation of "Witcher 3 GOTY".

Galaxy works differently, and mysteriously. It has a long way to go before it's anywhere as efficient or workable as Steam.

Comparing Galaxy with Steam (even at its current state)
Its far better to be able to download a game & play offline, then always be required to be online.
Galaxy is between Alpha-Beta release. Hopefully it will work better.

Thank you very much@teleguy.

Indeed I was able to fully patch Witcher 3 GOTY v1.30 to v1.31(A) with only 120 MB of downloads by doing the following:

0) (uncertain): shutdown gog galaxy, rename Witcher3 game folder, start GOG Galaxy for it to 'lose' the Witcher3 installation.
1) Shutdown GOG Galaxy
2) On local filesystem (for example using Windows Explorer), goto %programdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\Storage and rename the hidden file galaxy.db to galaxy.db_ or something else.
3) Open Witcher3 game folder. Replace the 2 goggame files by the 4 goggame files from the gog-version 1.31, for example get them from https_//drive.google.com/open?id=0B3JEQJQdmJZ9b1d2QmRuWnQ0elU (must replace https_ by https: for the link to work). Simply extract the files into the Witcher3 game directory, overwriting the two existing ones (you may keep backups to stay safe).
4) Start GOG Galaxy, (import the Witcher3 folder) , select the game and select "more | manage installation | verify". You should get only a 120 MB download, if everything worked fine.
