Hello,

After a long break in my Witcher adventures I recently installed it again to continue my savegame. It ran okay, some driver crashes every now and then but I already had that back in May, so I was okay with that.

However, since I returned to Skellige for some side missions, the game practically became unplayable due to the frequency of crashes. I can barely play 10-15 minutes before the NVidia driver crashes on me. I even had a bluescreen this morning with the message Video_TDR_failure nvlddmkm.sys.

I really don't know what to do, and what the reason for this is. Here is a brief list of what I have done so far:
- Changed the game's graphics options all to low and turned everything in postprocessing off; tried in fullscreen instead off borderless window mode
- Tried different Nvidia driver versions; I have tested with 364.72, 362.00 and 361.75
- Started the game as admin
- Monitored my temperatures while playing

Here's my system:
OS: Windows 10 Pro
CPU: i7-4790k 4.00GHz
GPU: MSI Gtx 770 OC 2GB
RAM: 16GB
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro
MB: ASrock Z97 Killer
And, in case it matters, I use G-Sync while playing Witcher :)

I hope anyone can help me, I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks!

Some users claims that 36x.xx Nvidia drivers are extremely buggy and can cause BSOD and destroy GPU card in some (rare) cases. I'm using latest and didn't notice such behavior but I've got older cards (560Ti and 750Ti in my two PC machines).

Try using older drivers from 35x.xx line and see if it changed anything.
I think it's driver version 358? Something like that, is the last good driver that works with the broadest selection of games and Nvidia cards, and has the least issue.

Seems the newer drivers from both Nvidia and AMD cause issues.
my game crash onyl when i use fast travel from hierarach square to oxenfurt harbor do anyone have same issues an maybe know solution for fix it
Thank you for your replies, guys. I am currently trying out driver 358.91 and so far it seems to be working well. Admittedly, I did not have time to test more than about an hour yet, but normally it would have crashed by now, so... I'm confident.
