I was playing the game on my laptop, but I bought a new monitor and connected it to my laptop with an HDMI cable. There are no issues while playing Witcher 3 on the laptop's own screen, but while playing on the new external monitor, the screen occasionally goes black. Switching between various display modes (Extend, Duplicate, PC Screen Only, Second Screen Only) in Windows 10 can fix it, but sometimes it doesn't. The drivers are up to date. What is the problem?

I dont know if the problem got solve or not, but in many cases the black screen issue has arise due to the graphic card and the hardware system.

You can check out the article https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-black-screen-when-playing-games-on-windows that might help to resolve it.
