Game doesn't start,I dont have ANY mods(i had some mods like year ago than uninstalled witcher), I reinstalled it, delted content0/scripts file because one time i was trying to launch the game(out of hundreds) it said:
Error [content0]game\types.ws(52): Enum 'EAreaName' already defined. Error [content0]game\types.ws(68): Enum 'EDlcAreaName' already defined.
Now it says nothing i click play, the button goes grey, Then I wait a sec and it goes back to where it was before, sometimes when i do the check for corrupted files i can atleast see the red engine compiling scripts but then it goes away and we are back at the start. I dont know what to do, i tried to search any file that could be saved somewhere on the pc after uninstaling The Witcher that could be the cause of not being able to launch the gmae, but i didnt find anything interesting besides 2 config files of settings and some images from The Witcher,
I found that im getting error logs in my witcher files so i can send them aswell maybe it will help.
Hope to get help from human beings that know something about the topic, because i dont

PS. Im pretty mad with the whole situation, and when i tried to submit ticket in GOG, i will never look at this company the same way, after the talk with the CONSULTING ASSISTANT BOT (ultra extremely terrible and dissapointing system)

The Witcher 3 doesn't require Galaxy: have you tried launching the game using it's own executable without Galaxy running? Even if this doesn't solve your problem, it might show some error report.

If you want to completely remove the previous installation, you should delete the configuration directory (%USERPROFILE%\Documents\The Witcher 3\) but, beware, this folder contains the save game data, so, if you want to keep your saved games, you should backup the directory before deleting it!
By the way, if you use Galaxy or some other cloud saving services, you should pay attention to the cloud syncing: Galaxy or similar services might restore some files you deleted and this might bring back some residuals of the mod you installed in the past, which, in turn, might prevent the game for running correctly.
Thanks,I'll try that, just disabled the autosync in configuration menu on GOG, andIm reinstallig it right now after deleting the userprofile Witcher folder.
I do have error logs everytime I open the game so if they are of any use, I can screenshot them or copy paste here.

Use the exe directly, happened to me as well not long ago. With the exe it works fine though, same with installers the problem is GOG and the automatic sync that f""ks the game. Basically you got two options; Installer or exe. First one requires no GOG, second one path to the game and shortcut. Up to you.
How can you call it solved? I have the same issue and my problem still exists. Never modded, redownloaded, repaired twice, yet I still have this error.
Does ANYONE have a REAL resolution to this problem?

Bump. Same issue here, I tried everything. The game still crashes on startup.
Tried lunching from the exe files, dx11 and dx12, deleted the user folder, disabled cloud sync, repaired installation.
Nothing works.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. After last update patch the game falls down right after “play” and don’t know what to do.
