I found a page in the Witcher which talked about how the gnomes lived up North, in Mahakam, coexisting with dwarves, and that made me curious, does anyone know if we are going to see them in the Witcher 3?

Well, I think that gnomes are extincted in the Witcher universe.

Gnomes aren't extinct in the books, unless I'm forgetting something. They appear in several occasions. But from all the gameplay footage I've seen so far, I couldn't spot even a single gnome. Probably they were left out.

Huh, I wonder what ttheir reasoning behind that is... Kinda makes no sense considering the game takes place in the north, and that is where most of the gnome population resides.

Budget, maybe? Racism? Maybe they resemble too much a human kid and that'd give place for idiots to release pedophile content? I know it happened with Skyrim. Or perhaps they just forgot about them and when they remembered it was way too late.
