Solved:

Found a second Witcher 3 also in the Start Menu. This one The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt (DX11) I tried that and it works very well. no more black screen. Also played for awhile and it does play on High and or Ultra. meanwhile the Witcher 3 (DX11) is the Complete Edition. Said it have all the DLC's.already downloaded.

Hi, I'm usually a PS4 Pro Person since release of the console. on Sep 4 2023, I've decided to buy the Witcher 3 from GOG. The Witcher 3 Complete Edition that is for my old Desktop PC sitting around since it (Game)was on sale. However I noticed after installing the game. Both desktop icon and Folder in the Windows 10 Start folder says Game of The Year instead of the Complete Edition. But in GOG it does say Complete Edition. Is this normal?

Now about my black screen issue. Not sure whats going on. Like I said it's old Desktop PC that I built in 2014. It does run The Elder Scrolls Online, extremely well on PC. However I'm unable to start/load Witcher 3 game.It's unplayable and keeps crashing with black screen. Not sure what I'm supposed to do.
