where's blood and wine? any release date or delay info?
Post edited March 10, 2016 by apehater
So far only two screenshots have been posted and along with various info from interviews not much else has been officially released about Blood and Wine. We know that the new country Toussaint is huge - probably the size of Velen/Novigrad. Also the designers have called the new plots more compelling than the original ones without saying much else.

There is no current ETA, but late May or early June are probably good guesses. Knowing CD Projekt Red the content will be delayed if it does not live up to their high standards at that time (which is probably why no ETA has been released in the first place), so all we can do is wait.
thanks
Wow I didn't know the area was going to be that big. I'm just now level 32 and working on main quest still.(I get side tracked easily :) )

I'm sorry to interject my question here but its sort of related. I'm still playing through the main story and I was wondering if story-wise its better to play Hearts and Stones before completing the main quest or does it not really matter if I play the expansion after?

It really doesn't matter, since the story is not tied to the main quest. Though if you want to be a tad pedantic, Shani being conscripted into Radovid's army could have some bearing, depending on your choices, but absolutely not plot-wise.
^ I agree with the above.

Having said this I would actually recommend finishing the original story before doing Hearts of Stone. There are a lot of new "?"s in the northeastern part of Novigrad/Velen that are part of the new content, and the monsters there pose a serious threat compared to all the content in the original game. If you completed this content before doing the final parts of the main-story the main-story content would seem like a complete breeze in my opinion.
Okay thanks folks. I think I'll wait which is what I was leaning toward but not sure. I think I experienced what you are talking about Jesper because when I first installed the expansion and just happened to cross paths with a person and place directly tied to the expansion, in the vicinity of that area I was running into something like level 30 drowners and getting my butt kicked. At first I had no idea what was going on as I'd never run into a drowner of that caliber and I as a result got very frustrated. I think I was only level 21 or so at the time maybe even lower.

Haha... I hear you! Those drowners kicked my butt when I first met them, and that was after completing the main-content (I had maxed out gear etc.), and I wasn't even playing on Death March at that time. I just figured they would be like a regular drowner fight, but nope :p

Oh dang no wonder I had troubles then lol. I only play on Sword and Story and that's plenty good for me.
