Hi guys, after meeting the dude at midnight, I headed to Von Everec's manor for his 3 wishes quest thingy. But instead, I saw the manor on fire, a guy is going to beheaded. I try to save the guy, but instead I'm figting von Everec. Anyone encounter this? What I did wrong? Should I let the guy died?

Fighting him now gives you a chance to learn how to fight him. Later on in the game you gonna have to fight him again in another form.

Tip: Timing your counter attack when he "teleport" stuns him. You will have a chance to strike him 2-3 times then roll away.

Oh, so I still need to fight him before I can proceed with his quest then?
You can avoid fighting him by letting the man die. I did, and I didn't fight him. In fact, I didn't know this was possible, but I imagined it.

I tried both versions (let the guy be beheaded or fight von Everec) - makes absolutely no difference as you progress further.
As far as morals are concerned, letting the guy be executed seemed a bit preferable to me (just respond rather calmly and talk it out rather than threaten violence). But I guess that's a matter of preference ;)

There's 2 outcome. Save the guy, resulting a fight with Olgierd. Let the guy die, you don't have to fight Olgierd.

I like the combat part of the game. And this part of the fight present a very good challenge. Plus doing this fight will give you a good idea on how to fight his counterpart later in the game
