OK I get it, they spent lots of time and effort creating great looking weather and are proud of their work and want to show it off, but please give us the ability to turn off or limit the weather effects. I enjoyed the first half dozen or so storms that blew through, but they are so dam frequent I find myself turning my sound way down so I don’t have to hear the incessant rain and wind noises. I can’t turn those specific sounds down without losing all background environment sounds, which kills the overall game environment.

I would much prefer the ability to turn weather off or reduce storm frequency dramatically to maybe one a week tops. It feels like I get a storm every dam day in game and I find myself meditating constantly due to frustration to try and get rid of them. Talk about killing game emersion.

Otherwise this game is awesome so far. Made it to the second map and died when I tried to take on a dozen or so level 5-10 bandits while level 4 during another dam storm…
For me, the biggest issue is with the wind. When you go indoors the wind will still be affecting Gearalt's hair and clothing. This is very immersion breaking. Wind was even affecting Geralt in a cellar...

Ditto on that, but not just indoors. Half the time it looks like a hurricane in the background when he is outside.

Maybe,someone left a window open:-)
Weather is indeed excessively foul in this game, storm are quite common and i ended up finding strange not seeing Geralt wet from the far too common rain by now

Only solution i found is to temporarily disable weather with the console, and i ended up doing so when the 20th storm found me in not even 2 week of game time

Here the mod to enable the console:

Here a list of commands and suggestions to properly use the re-enabled console:

Just be careful as spawning items can easily ruin the game progression or quests if a specific items is made. Avoid spawning items unless absolutely necessary
That's very strange. I have only seen one storm after playing for a good bit.

Haha, this is basically what I was telling my self to keep from obsessing over it. In the huts there are windows, but the cellar is where I drew the line.

I've gotten used to now though, I'd still like to see it fixed for whenever I do a second play through. [Still on play through #1 BTW]
Storms are common specially if you heavily roam around.

Geralt: Looks like rain.

Me: You don't say.

Someone will come up with a fix.
I just do meditation until it stops.???. Profit!

Guys looks like that you have forgot we playing RPG after all. Imagine what Geralt would do if he was in such situation.
Though i must say that when you have long dialogues with key NPCS and they just stay under the rain pouring them to the bones and don't giving a shit about it looks retarded, for example when i had my first dialogue with Dandelion and the rain began xD
does anyone have a good joke for this, something about ppl complaining about the weather? i cant think of 1

Agreed with the OP, and agreed with this.

It storms and rains way too often, and the fact that your hair/clothes are blown "by the wind" even when standing indoors is just silly. When you're doing a game like this, you have to make sure even the small details are just right, otherwise the immersion is broken.
