There is no way I can install Witcher 3 because it insists on using huge amounts of space on my system drive which I don't have.

Galaxy insists on installing on the system drive, although I didn't even install it the galaxy client on there.
Downloading from the site to a partition with space works, but then the installer tries to unpack stuff on my system drive without asking.

Problem is, my system drive is dedicated to just the operating system, and it can't have more than 3-4 G of free space, which is enough for any game installer that was written by people with brains. Whoever did these installers should be given a machine with the OS on a 30 Gb SSD and locked up until the installers work :)

Please tell your bosses at CDProjekt to fire some of those lawyers sending DMCA requests for gameplay movie leaks and hire more QA.

What are you trying to hide by taking down those gameplay movies? I thought CD Projekt was one of the two companies I can still trust with a preorder, but maybe you've grown and I should wait for the reviews next time?

In Galaxy Settings you can change the path where your game is downloaded.

Did you do that already?

Really? Maybe in your Galaxy client, but not in mine.
I don't see anything to change my install path either by pressing 'more' on the game page in my library or by pressing my user name and going through the various options...

No problem m8.
Haha thanks mate!
I love modern UI designs. They're like old adventure games: hunt the pixel!

Notes for CD Projekt:

1. When you start having your legal department do the news for you and sell season passes, people stop giving you the benefit of the doubt (in my case, I didn't google for more info because I didn't expect to find any) Please tone down the release date embargo crap or you'll end up in the same bucket as EA and Ubisoft. I don't even read the news about their products any more.

2. I am well aware that GoG and CD Projekt are separate entities, however the latter owns the former so it doesn't matter.

3. The game still cannot be installed if you *don't* use the Galaxy client, because the standalone installer tries to unpack everything temporarily on the system drive.
About standalone installer - are you sure? If that's the case have you tried to find the folder where it extracts everything? You can just mount a different drive to that folden to trick the installer to unpack everything to different drive.

That's misleading information, saying that the game cannot be installed without the Galaxy client. I do not have the Galaxy client, and I have installed the game without issue. Your issue is your lack of drive space, and that is *your* problem.

In the context of this thread, don't read just the last words of the last post...
