Certain vegetation such as sunflowers, wheat fields, crops, and large buildings, small houses, and huts all have very bad distant-asset texture popping (pop-in).
This video is with in-game settings on ultra-max quality (trees/grass/shadows are well beyond ultra via config), GTX 980, driver 352.86, game version 1.04.

None of the assets that are rendering like this shown in the video can be modified, and it is literally driving me insane. This video I made just doesn't do it justice when you're constantly running around in novigrad or these fields or running around medium-sized towns with these huts everywhere it can be maddening.
There seems to be two different levels of this distance rendering that I've noticed. The first one occurs obviously at a much shorter distance and looks more like tessellation popping in, the other that is farther away looks more like the textures themselves are popping-in between a low-quality asset and a high-quality asset.
I have tried messing with the rendering config file and the user.settings file and nothing seems to eliminate this problem.
I've tried changing:
MeshLODDistanceScale=
MeshRenderingDistanceScale=
TerrainReadAheadDistance=
TextureStreamingDistanceLimit=
MaxVisibilityDepth=
TextureMemoryBudget=
FoliageDistanceScale=
TextureMemoryBudget=
TextureStreamingCharacterDistanceLimit=
cvMaxAllowedStatMeshes=
cvMaxAllowedStatTextures=
I've doubled, even tripled these settings ABOVE ultra, but these settings do absolutely nothing in the game beyond ultra values. There is no change in the fps or the visual assets whatsoever when changing any of these settings.
It seems certain vegetation and whatever this rendering-distance limitation technique is, is hardcoded into the engine and can't be changed.
I really hope CDPR updates the config/engine and allows us to mess with rendering-distance for houses/buildings and certain vegetation as seen in the video because I don't know about anyone else around here but I'm damn sick of this pop-in crap.
