How do I use examine {a button} under water?

'E' is the button for examining and interacting, so if there's anything you want to see or touch, E will appear where such things are available. what button precisely and whereabouts? could you do a screeshot?

hello, its in water treasure and looking for gear.A button on my controller is E on keyboard. I can loot chests and such but when I come to a clue on the wall [with magnify symbol ] It tells me to select A to examine but I get nothing. I have tried pressing keys on computer with no luck...

ok. what kind of symbol is it? some things require the 'eye of nehelani'- do you have that yet? if walls appear to move and a 'sunlike' symbol appears with the examine prompt then it may need the eye. alternatively, using witcher senses is sometimes required to progress

Im in the water searching around a wreck... It has to do with treasure hunt witcher gear. Its red on the wall with an Eye glass and tells me to press A to examine but I get nothing.

if you're searching for witcher gear, generally the associated witcher school symbol will appear on a wall/stone etc near to where the loot can be found, to let you know you're in the right area. you should use witcher senses, move around until you find a glowing red object. you don't need to find the symbol to find the treasure. another solution is that if you play through GOG galaxy, you may want to try the verify/repair option, which will help to 'clean' the installation.
