I'm trying to run the game on my new computer and I'm getting very bad screen tearing, game unplayable. Want to play the game in 3840x2160. Tried everything. Nothing helps. Things I tried that dont solve the problem: G-sync, v-sync, frame capping, frame uncapping, settings to low - no change, resolution changing - still tearing. Fiddled in nvidia control panel with different settings - nothing works. Changed the frame cap in user config - no go, still excessive tearing. I'm running out of ideas, please help. My system specs: i7 6700K, 16gb ddr4, gtx 1080, monitor - Predator xb321hk.

try v-sync on in nvidia settings and v-sync off in the witcher game settings.
