All of a sudden my saves won't load saying that they're missing DLC.

This has happened when I've returned to Kaer Morhen after 103 hrs of play.

However GoG Galaxy says I have all the DLC listed installed (they show ticks next to them).

I was running 1.05.

I've now tried updating to 1.06 and manually re-installing at least one of the DLC's the saves are asking for (beard set), but with only the same result.

Verifying my files has no result.

This is really frustrating.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have any earlier saves...?

Yes, but I'd lose a big chunk of playtime and who's to say it wouldn't happen again?

You should just try it, see if the problem resolves itself and then return to your newest save. Back it up manually if you're worried about losing it. Suggesting it won't happen again is difficult; you could also suggest that you'd better not play anymore, just in case it happens again. ;)

Ok - well, I'd have to go back to 10 June before I can get a working save.
Having loaded that ok, I still get the same error with any save after that.

So I'd be losing over a week's worth of play.

I like W3 very much, but damn.

<edit> back in business!
So I couldn't get GoG Galaxy to 'appear' to uninstall any DLC (using Manage in the MORE list).
I'd click next to a tick against a DLC and Galaxy would do something file related but the tick remained and my save would still ask for the DLC.

I went into the W3 dir and renamed goggame-galaxyFileList.ini to goggame-galaxyFileList.bak
This seemed to allow me to 'untick' the DLC the save said it was missing.
After unticking all the 'missing' DLC, I then reticked them which re-downloaded and re-installed them.
This seemed to have done the trick.

Got to say, Galaxy is confusing regards installing DLC. Interface needs a bit of streamlining there I think.

Hmmm, I use 'More' --> 'Configure', maybe that's what's causing the issue...?

Who knows - glad you've got it working!

It's still early days for Galaxy, still, not bad for such an early enterprise. I remember Steam early days, urghhh...
