1- Copy all 5 dll files that start with sl from x64_dx12 to x64
2- Download from Techpowerup last dlss version (2.5.0) and put the dll inside x64
3- Go to Documents - The Witcher 3 - user.settings . Under Post Process change DLSSQUALITY from 0 to 1
4- Profit

It should be in My Documents or Documents folder, depends on your Win version. All the .settings are there.

Is that basically enabling DLSS 2.0 on DX11 when it's hidden in the GUI?
Exactly sir.

chobi1: Exactly sir.
Not working on my RTX 3060. How did you check that's it's works for you?

Sorry to hear that. I have a 3080. I'm running the game dx11 ULTRA+, all eye candy on, it never goes under 58 fps. Before this I had steep drops, as low as 40 fps, even on White Orchard.

on what resolution? I don't have problem on DX11 with FPS. In FullHD on my laptop 3060 + 5800HS, in hierarch square (center of Velen city) i got 70+ FPS with Uber+, TAAU On and Hairworks , bloom/blur things to disabled.

Did you dissabled TAAU? If not then try to do that, if game will be without any AA, then DLSS not working and your FPS boost is not from DLSS. If DLSS working then is no need to any AA, you could check that on DX12 mode.

I finally caved in and tried this... the game crashes in DX12 on launch, in DX11 I made screenshots/FPS capture with and without this DLSS hack.

Sadly it doesn't seem to do anything - neither the image nor the framerate change with the modification of the user.settings file.

I with they simple had made the DX11 Ultra+ version use DLSS, like many other DX11 games can use DLSS2.0. That would give a nice visual upgrade and better framerate than the original.

But no... they failed hard.

2560x1440p, TAAU enabled, high sharpening. I posted the same hack on Steam and people is telling me it works for them. Really weird.

Sorry to heard that. I posted the same hack on Steam forums and it seems to work. Some guys even find other variations of it, seems to work for some but no for everybody. So far, 3080 and 3090 are having the highest success rate. Dunno why. CDPR is using a dx11 to dx12 wrapper, which is, I think, partly responsible for this fiasco. They may tinker with it a bit and get better results in a near future.

Just so there are no detail mistakes: Basically Ultra+, DX11 Executable, copied the 5 files and a new Dlss.dll.

I tried with 1 and 2 in the config (in Cyberpunk, Option 1 was Auto, Option 2 was DLSS Quality Preset).

Borderless Window and Fullscreen, both tested.

How have you or these others exactly verified that DLSS is active? You see a framerate increase when you change the value in user.settings? I so wish this would run, as the Ultra+ Preset and DLSS would be an actual improvement over the classic game. Otherwise Ultra+ is so annoying slower, it isn't worth it...

chobi1, your tip dosen't do anything. If it was, then turning TAAU is worlthess, DLLS turned on is making AA even better then TAAU. I'm sure you turned TAAU ON to had any AA for bettter graphic, that confirm NOT working DLSS.
